Default XKR exhaust upgrade - block vacuum pipes?

Did some searching but couldn't find a solid answer so here goes.

I'm about to change my rear silencer/muffler section on my 4.2 XKR and the new one doesn't have the active valves that the stock one does. This means that the vacuum hoses for the actuator valves will have nowhere to go. Should I just tie them up safely out of the way, or should I block them off as well?

I'd think you'd want to plug them, to keep debris from being sucked in.
Think I've read in other threads that those that have done what you plan to do, did indeed plug the vacuum lines.

Did you get your rear box yet. I plugged mine with bolts and removed the exhaust valve fuse, its number F19 and is located behind the middle rear seat cover, then the valve system stops working, i did this with as mine because it hadn't to use this system any more.

Thanks guys. I pulled fuse 19 out the day after I got the car, two years ago, and it hasn't been back in since. I didn't think about that before I posted the thread but I guess that would mean that there won't be any vacuum in the hoses, but I'll plug them up anyway.

Back box arriving today or Monday
