Default xkr instrument cluster

good evening fellow jaguar enthusiasts.

here is my question. my 2008 xkr has two round instrument clusters. the one on the left has mph on the outer circle and kmh on the inner circle. when the lights are on, both light up.

the cluster on the right is tachometer. the outer circle has the rpm's and lights up. the inner circle has the RPM logo at the top center and an inner round circle that does not light up.

i may be crazy but i believe both the outer and inner circle on the right cluster lit up and i feel that the inner light has simply burned out. when taking my car in for service they tell me there is nothing wrong with it, but it does not look right and i would swear they both used to light up.

is anyone familiar with this little peccadillo?

+1, this was discussed on another Jag forum recently. The inner circle on the tacho doesn't light up, the one on the speedo only lights up because it's displaying the speed in km/h and the outer in mph, the inner one on the tacho doesn't tell you anything useful.

Does look a little odd though, I'd quite like it to light up along with the //R logo but that's just me
