So fifty nine years later these to be built for collectors, not much point building them now as they will not be held in the same esteem as the first ones made. Watched a program on the making of the 6 lightweights that were made and in some circles they were like outcasts. They would not be allowed to enter such occasions as Goodwood as they weren't of the era or raced during that time. Don't think i would like having such cars and frowned upon after spending such money. IMO they should leave as is, don't think the car will have the same panache as those built at the time, you have to remember the older cars were made by the same engineers and all at the same time, look how things were 59 years ago, it's like walking into your old grandads workshop, the smell of old oil and the overalls, not the same today, the history isn't there.

Hey, if someone wants to give me a new XKSS, I don't think I'll complain about no "OLD LEATHER" smell.
