120 buying advice
Just say a person had found a two owner always well looked after xk120 DHC for sale in Australia. Don't have all the details but it is a car which has I believe had 1 repaint original colour about 30 years ago, and leather re trimmed about the same time, otherwise original. Paint is a bit scraped up, no rust, running well but mostly mechanically pretty original and will probably need a few things like brakes, belts, hoses, tyres etc seeing to. Overall a bit tired but solid.
What sort of price range would be reasonable, anything in particular to watch for which has a big effect on value?

If you go to Hagerty Insurance, Search Years | Hagerty you can look up the specific year Jag and it will give you prices and trends for the specifc year and model. In your case an XK120 DHC in #4 shape, the worst condition they list, was about $65 K in 2006 and trending down to $50K in 2012.
Depending on body panel condition, percent of parts on the car and assuming you are going to do most of the work I would start with maybe $25 K and then subtract shipping cost from that.
Another place to look for cars and associated prices is at Gullwing Motor Car Company in New York and the Beverly Hills Car Club in California, they usually have a number of cars for restoration.
Good luck,
I've been working on a 1960 DHC for 6 years so far..........
