1960 XK150 FHC Barnfind Surprise

One of the discoveries in this XK150 FHC, 3.8, with automatic transmission is a FACTORY installed Cruise Control (my terminology, not Jaguars). Who knows and can report about this?

I know my Mk2 has a "hold" switch on the dash that would keep the trans from shifting out of 2nd...Could be mistaken for a cc...

Never heard of factory cruise control on Jags until the 70's.

The transmission 'Hold' switch is for holding the transmission in "Intermediate" thus allowing the driver some degree of control over the transmission. It's a three-speed unit.

If a cruise control has been fitted, it will be some much later kit modified to fit the car. CCs weren't available on British cars until the 70s.
