Default ‘97 XK8 water pump

I know I know… not a particularly new topic… but I am wondering if there is a favorite water pump replacement for the ‘97 xk8? Trying to narrow down causes of temp gauge/coolant issues, what a surprise. Looking at the service records that came with the car 4 1/2 yrs ago, I don’t find the water pump has been replaced. So…those plastic impellers may be an issue( if not now then at some point). Looking at a Beck/Arnley with gasket for $67, #131-2245. Metal impellers. T-stat was replaced recently as well as sensor.
And , yes, planning on a JagWrangler RealGauge.
Just have to find a new shop to do that, as current one has lost my confidence totally. After 4 years, disappointing.
Thanks for input, always.

The original Black Nylon 66 water pump impellers are not likely to be installed in cars since decades ago.
We did have issues with the early pumps in the late 1990s but most, if not all of them were replaced.(I did dozens of them)
TSB we got decades ago.

Pretty sure I didn’t see that replaced in the service records I have. But it’s also possible that record isn’t in the folder. Original owner(TX) maintained the car meticulously, even replaced tensioners early on.. that particular service certainly encouraged me to buy the car. And this year, it’s 30 years old. Just trying to troubleshoot the most obvious, and learn. Elimination.
Thanks! You guys are a fountain of knowledge.
