Got the p1647 and p1637 codes among others. Transmission slamming into gear and a couple of other problems. Got the trans sorted, it was low on fliud from a very slow leak. Yeah adding fluid with the car on jack stands is difficult, getting the plug back in is the hardest part. Now the 02 sensors (upstream). The passenger side is not difficult, nor getting to the upstream on the driver side. But the connector for the driver side is an absolute nightmare... I am still trying to figure out how to get to it with my Meaty paws. any suggestions are welcome.
Oh, its a 1999 XK8

Remove the coolant reservoir and you can access the O2 sensor on the left side.

It is not easy but you can get to it. If it is the snap lock you are having difficulty with try using small pliers.
O2 sensors fixed. The driver side upstream was bad, of course, I replaced the other side first. Doh!. My huge *** hands were not an asset getting the plugs undone, but the Jag is running like a champ again. Note, I did not use a sensor socket, It was easier to break them loose with a wrench.
