100000 miles

Today I rolled over the 100k mark on the odometer. I was curious how many are still driving there xkr's with more than 100k.:icon_lol:

My 2006 has 110K on it, still going strong.

Norri 05-20-2012 06:55 PM

Congratulations!

Mine did on 3/1 still going strong...99 XK8!

My 2002 XKR passed 100k about 2 weeks ago, then promptly started throwing transmission fault codes. Gears are okay, but valves, solenoids, and harness, are being replaced. Get her back tomorrow. Finally! I've missed the old cat.

My 2000 XKR is at 98k. Starting to miss a bit. Not running as smoothly. Hopefully nothing serious. Expect to see 100,000 this summer.

137,500

I bought it with this many miles on it a few weeks ago. It needed new front and rear struts, plus other minor things, but the engine and transmission are in great shape. I plan to keep it for a long time.

Might take a bit for me to get there. My signature tells the tale, and with the car stored at my folks' place in NJ, I've visited it and put on about 400 miles in the last three months. But, I plan to still be driving the wee critter when I do hit 100k

321.000km, so properly driven in I would say ;-), hope to do at least another 100.000km.

Just turned 100,000 on Sunday 5/20/12. Daily driver, purchased at 90,000, 14 month ago. Very reliable, gas mileage decent, head turner... Have only put at the most 400.00 in repairs (Roof Hoses) in to it. Solid car...

My thoughts, if anyone asked, get one.

Sorry, not an XKR, but all the same a Jag that runs well. Starting to look for an 'R' though.

Mine hit 97k on Saturday, as that means I have done 8000 miles since I got in at the end of December it won't be long before it hits 100!

H20boy 05-21-2012 01:57 PM

I'm at 145,000 mi, any plans to get rid of it have never crossed my mind.

321,000 km = 199,400 miles <- that's impressive

Red1bw 05-21-2012 02:26 PM

114,500 miles on mine. Excellent shape, other than the drivers seat is starting to show some wear. If you haven't done it yet, change tranny fluid and spark plugs. Not sure if these apply to your 2002, but: I would also recommend replacing the anti-freeze line that goes from the expansion tank to thermostat housing area ($20) and the oil feed line (left side closes to driver, $120). These are both items that could strand you, that I had to replace, and in which I noticed that many others had to replace due to age / wear / miles.

Even more impressive, when we take into consideration, that, that thing is blowing the dyno charts out the window. :)

Evidently, with a good base, maintenance counts.
