Default 1997 Jaguar xk8, changed timing chain now it squeaks think its the crankshaft pulley

Hi,
I changed the timing chains and timing chain tensioners on my jaguar xk8,
upon starting it there is a squeaking,

is it possible the crankshaft pulley is not tightened down on the crankshaft?

or i need a new seal in the timing chain cover ?

or possibly the cone shaped spacer inside the crankshaft is not pushed up against the seal in the timing chain cover,

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If your crankshaft pulley isn't in far enough it will be misaligned with the other pulleys and the serpentine belt will squeal.

The crankshaft pulley should be almost touchin the timing cover. Does the pulley wobble?
I would take the belt off to see if the noise stops. If it does its not the pulley but one of the accessories on the belt. If you still have the noise use a stethoscope to locate the sound. It's hard to tell but it sounds like something hitting the timing cover.
If the pulley is not wobbling and it's up tight you might have something wrong with one of the chains. If this is the case don't run it more than you have to and don't Rev the engine.

I'm hoping it's the pulley.

Good luck
