1997 XK8 / AGM battery ???

Hi folks, if someone had some clues to save time for my mechanic to search...

I changed the battery 2 weeks ago, replaced with AGM battery, is that ok on a 97 XK8?

Car went very well for two weeks, then when I got home 2 days ago (with engine hot), car starts but engine stalls, with many codes ( stability control fail, stability control fail, engine fault, battery not charging.... )

Just want to be sure that AGM battery would not be in cause?

Thanks

The great thing about AGM batteries is the Voltage = Percent of charge.

WIth a voltmeter and the Motor off, check the voltage of the battery:

If the voltage is the green, look for a loose connection somewhere.

+1 to Ungn & possible follow up

After doing what Ungn suggests, check both battery cables, negative and positive. Grit sand contacts to shiney metal and use contact cleaner not WD40.

Most at probable cause is the positive battery cable connection to the HPP fuse box in front of the spare wheel. Unclip and open box and check cable terminal as this bolt tends to loosen with vibration.

Definitely not a problem... I have a Bosch AGM in my 2001 with no issues (except Bosch may not be the best battery because the first one only lasted 18 months - luckily it was replaced under warranty for free)...

I installed a Bosch 49/850B AGM battery from Pep Boys in my wife's 2006 XK8 last July. It functions well and I expect it to outlast a conventional battery, even in these cars that tend to devour a battery every three to four years....
