1997 XK8 wheels on a 2003 XKR?

Wondering if it is possible to use an old set of 1997 XK8 factory rims for snow tires on a 2003 XKR?

The newer car has wider rims as well as different sizes for the front and rear, but what i'm wondering is whether the brembo calipers limit the choices of wheels for this car. I don't plan on a lot of snow driving with this car but the stock setup would be suicide even in light snow.

Thoughts?

Are they 17's? They won't clear the Brembos.

Get a winter beater.

Yes, they are. And that's what I thought. I have another set of aftermarket 19 inch wheels that might work. Need to check.

As for getting a winter beater, understood. However this car won't be driven regularly in the snow but the stock rims & tires will involve a tow truck for anything more than a dusting.
