1999 XK8 coupe gearbox problem?
 

hi all. been away for a little while, but been keeping up with the threads. need some advice on a problem thats crept up. driving the other day i noticed the car suddenly 'mis-fire' while idlleing at the lights. drove off when lights changed and no problem noticed. been trying to establish when and how it seems to be doing this, and narrowed it down to this.........when the car is idling in neutral, no problems and runs smoothly as it should. put it into 'drive', but without pulling off, it seems to'mis-fire' like if there's a problem with one of the coils. also, you can feel a kind of 'judder' under the car (possibly from gearbox). put it back into neutral, and no problems. this 'judder' appears to happen every 5-10secs. any hints or tips as to where i should start looking?
