Default 1999 XK8 Test Drive - perfect - one thing wrong - me!

Well,

Temperatures in the Middle East are climbing, and Summer is coming. So my wife has decided to put the house in Summer Mode - where all morning chores are done an hour earlier. She needs gets out early to tend to the horses as they need to do their exercises before it gets too hot.

That meant I could jump in the XK8 an hour early and took the long, long way to work. Car drove fabulous, with no hard downshifts when I hit traffic on the freeway. The radio worked fine too even with the antenna down. It's a joy to drive with the top down, sun shining, 27degC, and the AJ-V8 engine purring.

The only thing wrong was me. My belt buckle felt a bit tight - I might have put on a few pounds. That may be a more difficult fix than my Jag!

I understand that one only too well after a long winter of eating more than I should. And, with outdoor bbq and smoking season fast approaching, it might get worse. Pulled the grill and smoker out of storage at the same time the Jag came back to life. I might have to contemplate this solution...
