1st Time 99XK8 Owner, anyone know of a great dallas, tx mechanic?

I recently purchased a 99 xk8 and have to say I can't believe I waited so long. The driving experience is truly amazing. I purchased my vehicle from an older guy in California and he took great care of the car. No problems so far, except for my convertible top (hydraulic hose). I also want to do some preventive maintence but need to find a good mechanic in my area. I want to replace the tensioners as well. Anyways, I think I am going to be a jaguar owner for life (assuming the newer models maintain the same style/feel).

I had one jaguar shop quote me $1100 to replace the hydraulic hose, that seems pretty high to me. Anyways if anyone has any mechanics they know of in this area it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There is a forum member, motorcarman, who runs an independent Jag shop in Decatur, TX (about half an hour west of Denton). He was a Jag mechanic for like 30 years and is a great guy. Jag dealers will be very expensive on everything. An oil change at the Plano Jag dealer runs like $150 and I was quoted just under $4k for the tensioners. PM motorcarman, that's where I take my car; Bob will take good care of you.
