Easy Way to Get to Back Thermostat Bolts
Hey guys and gals, I just wanted to share the easy way to get to the rear thermostat bolts on an XK8. They are super accessible once you've completed the right steps.
This this is obvious sarcasm for those that are about to jump in and tell me to use a crows foot or something along those lines. I'm tearing everything down to replace it all at once so I'll have many miles of freedom ahead. 😂

This little gadget works like a champ!! The tool is used to remove the two rearward 8mm bolts securing the T-Stat housing to the engine block. The front two bolts may be accessed using a ¼” drive and swivel; but the rear two bolts have limited access.
Use Vice Grips - The bent-wrench should be used in conjunction with a needle nose vice grip, and another regular style vice grip twisting the first.

What does it take to bend a wrench that much?
