Default 99 xk8 safe lift area

Maybe I should continue this on my other thread, but it may be useful to others doing a search. I want to lift the cat by the frame so the differential drops a little so that I may have better access to the back side of the fuel tank. Any suggestions?

Here's the information from the JTIS, I don't think the differential will drop by jacking the car up any way.

Those pictures are about as clear as mud to me. It looks like someone drew a picture of a jack and then just penciled in a few random lines around it.

Jaguar must have paid a fortune to have someone illustrate with 2nd grade line drawings. I would think that photos would have been a cheaper alternative.

And easier to understand! I don't get it. Drawings like that made sense back in 1937 when the technology to mass-duplicate photographs was lacking. But this is the 21st century!
