Personally I remove the lot, always so much easier than fighting the clips......

Depending on year......2 X bolts holding the induction pipe to the throttle body, 1 X 10mm hex nut holding the air box to the rubber mount, disconnect the breather pipe, MAF connector and air in take funnel, pull the whole lot out, there are 2 lugs on the underside of the air box going into rubber grommets, sometimes a little sticky just give them a wiggle.

With all this off you can easily clean the MAF and throttle body at the same time.

I don't want to be a jerk, but I'm going to sound like one anyway. You've got 251 posts on this forum since November 2009, and you don't know how to change your car's air filter. Really?

There is so much tehnical information available here, in the sticky at the top of the forum, in JTIS (you do have that, right?). Why not poke around a bit, use the search function, and learn a few things about your car so you can help other new owners as they arrive in our group.

If you're not willing to look something up, or even poke around for three minutes under your hood, why should we invest time in helping you out?

Rant over. Now listen to XKRacer below and good luck.

I stand by my mini-rant below, but I've also attached a PDF of the procedure from JTIS. This is for a 1997, which is probably not your model year, but that shouldn't matter.

Why don't we know your model year? Because after 251 posts, you still haven't put any information about your particular car in your signature. So we're left to guess.

XKRacer has it covered. Take the air pipe to the TB off which will give you more room to access the clip on the back of the air filter box cover---very easy.

If you do have a 2004 XKR - follow as XKRacer above
but you will also need to disconnect the auxillary air intake actuator connector from the air box, before pulling the whole assembly clear.
