bag of needed little things?
 

so is there anyplace a bag of parts, little things that get lost or broken, like the things on the inside trunk plastic parts that cover screw holes, interior screws to the side cards in the back seat or the tonea cover snaps, or the little plastic fiddly things that always seem to just decompose from entropy?? plastic fasteners, small hose clamps, that rubbber thing that connects the two plastic engine covers near the throttle body, screws and fasteners for door cards....

someone could make a good income rounding up these parts and selling them in bags.

it is not efficient for salvage yards to gather and categorize these bits. in the spring the plan is to visit a particular yard and with permission bring a sack perhaps working out a price via weight, volume or specificity. it can be a fun mission, however many places are wary of letting the public access the inventory due to liability and insurance regulations.

Also, check places like Harbor Freight and Pep Boys for miscellaneous inexpensive plastic fasteners of various types. I have also found them on ebay and amazon selling for pennies on the dollar compared to what dealerships or Jaguar aftermarket vendors sell them for. New ones are vastly preferred over used ones due to the wear-and-tear factor you mentioned....
