Can someone please tell me whrere I can buy 3 used good condition pistons . There are valve gashes in the top of 3 of my pistons. I can't pay top dollar for new ones , tried Jaguar S pistons top ring larger will any other models work ?

 

I have 7 low mileage 2000 XK8 pistons. If they are the same and you want them, pay for the shipping and they are yours.

 

If there are gashes in the pistons, I would be more worried about the rods and rod bearings. Metal doesn't compress well, and that is usually the damage, other than the pistons......Good luck.....Mike

Putting used pistons from one engine into the worn cylinder bores on another used engine (that has also suffered some valve interference impact damage) is a recipe for disaster. The clearance will more than likely be excessive leading to poor performance.

New pistons are not that expensive.
