Christmas time driving madness

everyone seems to be in more of a hurry this time of year, and less care is taken by other drivers, everywhere. So watch out !!!

This afternoonI was coming into town after a nice 200 mile drive up into Kansas, the speed limit was still 55 and I was following a pickup, not too closely thank goodness. The numbskull had two 20 foot ladders in the bed of the truck and when he went over a little rough pavement they went airborne and headed straight for my '02 XKR. Thanks to the (fairly new) ebc redstuff brake pads, I slowed from 60 to 10 mph in an instant it seemed, and was able to maneuver between the ladders with no extra drama. I wanted to tell the guy off, but I think he knew how badly he screwed up, so I just waved ( all fingers extended ;) ) and thanked my lucky stars I was paying close attention

My son got rear ended yesterday while driving his 08 xkr. The offender sped off as my son pulled off. Jerk. Only the bumper cover and one of his backup sensors were damaged thankfully.

Wow, good luck there. I almost got plowed into by a driver running a red light going straight at about 50 MPH as I was turning onto the road from the right. Everybody is in a hurry. It's the holiday season, take it easy !
