Cigarette lighter install
 

As stated before, my 2006 XK8 has no lighter, just the hole with no wires visible or that I can feel. Is it likely that there is the lighter wiring under the console?
If there is likely no wiring I do not want to go to the trouble of taking off the console cover. I m a novice at such things.
Also if I can't install a lighter because of lack of wiring, are there any suggestions for making use of the hole?

Well, the wiring will be there unless someone has previously done some modifications. The centre console takes about 5 minutes to get off, so you're not really going to need to invest much effort in having a look.
