Default clicking brake

Brakes suddenly went to floor one morning. Brake fluid is full. In idle, with car in park, there is a clicking noise when brakes are applied. Seems to be coming from gear shift area? Any ideas?

Only guessing here but I'd look first at the mechanical linkages to the brake booster

The clicking noise is normal - it's the solenoid that releases the interlock on the gear shift (so you can't engage "D" unless you have a foot on the brake pedal.)

If there's no loss of brake fluid, and the pedal goes to the floor - then I would suspect the master cylinder seal. I assume the brakes don't work ? If you pump the pedal, is there any loss of fluid, or do you get any improvement in brake performance ?
