code P0460
 

I have 99 XK8 with 74000 miles,the code P0460 Fuel level sensor has apeared,manual says cheak sensor to gauge but is working 100%,next manual says fuel pump problem,has any one had this problem before I start the repair,car runs perfect! Thanks Kiwi

It does not matter what any manual states, It matters what JAGUAR says.

Thanks Bob,I do have the pdf on disc,the fuel gauge works great fine but I guess must be problem between sensor and guage,not to good with electrical but will figur it out,Thanks Terry

I have a 2001 jag xjr that is getting the P0460 code as well. I've replaced the gas cap and am on my way to Auto Zone to check the battery. Is there any thing in particular that I should be looking at on this vehicle concerning this code. Or is it the fuel level sensor? I don't know where to start.
