Color code SDZ

I’m looking to get a leather dye kit to rejuvenate some Florida baked leather seats. The leather itself seems supple and I’m good shape but the dye has flaked off in some areas especially the center console. Code is cashmere sdz however the seats appear to not match swatches of cashmere I’ve seen and appear darker. There are several interior trim colors and I was thinking maybe sdz also maybe means a pallets of colors? Help?

NO - the code shown on the door label refers to a single colour. Interiors are usually trimmed with "complementary colours on e.g. the dash top such as Cashmere seats with Coffee dash.

SDZ is Cashmere but I agree, that looks very dark for Cashmere. Someone could have been there before.

I got a sample in the mail from a vendor. I can’t quite tell if it’s correct. Many of these companies don’t have the correct jaguar code. I don’t want to order the wrong color or send an off sample. Another question. Is the finish considered sarin , semi gloss or???

I ordered an SDZ sample from this vendor on ebay. The sample I received was a correct match for SDZ. I have not used their dye yet but I expect it will also match.

I don't think there is a gloss level associated with the dye. I am guessing that any shine is left to your choice of leather treatment applied afterward.

Sarin?. Good way to get rid of annoying passengers (sorry couldn't resist:-)).
Yes auto spell correct drives me nuts sometimes too.

Seems like your hitting too much trouble. The company I used took the code and provides an exact (no exaggeration) match. If you want the name I'll look it up for you.

The OE finish is satin but every refurbish I've seen and done has been more of a semi-gloss.

Doug and I had an exchange on one of the relevant threads and he advised using an air brush gave a closer to OE finish. I haven't needed to do a refurbishment since then but I will be following his advice next time.

If you could that would be great. . I don’t feel comfortable when they say cashmere yet it’s a totally different code sequence.
