Does anyone know how to remove the A pillar trim, I plan to remove mine to try to repair the peeling rubber, see below.

Here's a Reverend Sam video on the interior A-pillar inside trim. Try a search for the rubber trim replacement. Should be common to most vehicles.

Mine has gone the same way, both sides. I too would like to find a cure for this, it is the only thing that spoils my car!

Just managed to source a good set from a clean California car for £85 inc shipping, so the refurb willl go on the back burner for 10 years or so.
If anyone can say the best way to remove the door seal without damaging it to get to the trim securing screws it would be appreciated. |
Fantastic! Exactly what I was looking for! Also suffering from the "smoking pre-owner syndrome"....

Confused. Outside trim or inside trim?
I have done both. Do NOT buy replacements from dealership. |

Yours is obviously the inside trim but if you look at post #1 it clearly shows the outside trim. Hence the confusion. Hence not obvious.
Glad you got yours sorted though, :) |
I just recovered mine. Very simple. The pillars just pull off. They are held on with clips.

The dreaded INFINITE SCROLL has brought this ancient thread back to the surface! As it's now more than 7 YEARS since you posted the question and the resolution, how are the replacement WINDSCREEN FINISHER's standing the test of time? Graham |
I apologize if I should have that brought this up unjustified... but I have to admit that I'm one of those who use the forum search function intensivly before asking ;-)
In this case I was really glad I found that video, because I was totally unsure how to remove the a-pillar trims without damaging them. |
