convertible top oil - can you name that color

Hi All,

Attached is a picture of a q-tip dipped into the oil for a color test as I was unsure what type of oil was in the car currently.

My level is a little below half full so looks like time to buy some oil for it. I want to be sure I guy the right stuff. It has been working great so I don't want to screw this one up.

PO had work done top and work order from October 2000 listing (2) JLM-21112 and there was a previous with same number earlier that year. No work orders since show top work.

So I need to buy the Penosin CHF 11S right?

Any of the local stores near you stock it?https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...0380673ed2.jpg

Looks like the newer green stuff (Pentosin)

Yes on the Pentosin CHF 11S - I found it locally at NAPA, but O'Reilly's and Advance can order it if they don't have in stock. Also available via Amazon

Was just reading the paper work passed along from PO and found SB 8/99 501-33 noted which sounds like a full system flush. Yea me and Jag for stepping up on the warranty when second owner had an issue. If I understand this correctly they would have done a full system flush, and I suspect that is why it is still working today with the newer synthetic oil.

I will check at the NAPA on my way to work in the morning they look like the best price.
Thanks Steve
