Convertible Top Replacement - Sealant Strip

Convertible Top Replacement - Sealant Strip
I was wondering if anyone could help me here with locating the correct material to finish my convertible top.
I'm currently in the disassembly phase of replacing the top, and have removed the rear glass window from the frame with an auto glass cutting wire kit, etc. I have been taking pictures throughout the entire process, and plan on doing a complete write up of the replacement, as it's definitely involved and fun to say the least.
My question is the following; in the manual they say to put a sealant strip in between the frame and the top before it's stapled down (not the outer rubber strip you can see from the outside) as noted in the manual below:
Window Frame Sealant Strip in between top and glass window (not outer rubber window seal)
The Sealant strip remnants appear to be a white gooey/tacky residue about 1/4'' wide:
Convertible top frame with top remnant pulled away, white sealant on left side visible
Any idea what stuff this is or where to source?
