Default A few Photo's

Hi again, so yesterday i gave my xk it's first proper clean since i got her late last year, and i thought I'd share the results with you! I must say that I'm by no means a pro car cleaner but you gotta start somewhere ha ha

Anyway i was pleasantly surprised how it all turned out and apart from a few stone chips here and there which has to be expected for a 11 year car.

Hope you enjoy the pics

Again thanks for looking

Grant

Grant,

(I've moved your thread from XK/XKR section to XK8/XKR section)

Looks good. Can't avoid stone chips on the front bumper of the XK8.

When you posted about washing and polishing yesterday, it shamed me into washing mine this morning!

Graham

It indeed looks great....

I need to wash my wife's XK8 again but snow yesterday and last night made that task a no-go for today. Rain in the forecast for Tuesday so a proper wash may have to wait until next weekend....

Hi Wakey,
Great looking coupe. I hope you have tremendous amounts of joy driving it and looking at it. Although I keep my car very clean (I probably wash or wipe it down at least 2 or 3 times a week), I was inspired to wax and polish mine today after seeing yours. Since it was President's Day and I had a couple of hours in the afternoon and my car was already clean, I went ahead and did it. Attached are a couple of closeups that show the finished product. Not bad for an 11 year old car with 115K miles and original paint. I find I clean so often because I still like staring at it after 3 years and 55K miles of ownership. It helps that we have sunny warm days year round and so little rain. Good luck with your "new" classic.

Wow tberg those pic's of your car are amazing(love the colour by the way), I would love to get my car in that condition :-) hopefully in time I'll be able get it somewhere near ha ha

Your completely right about always wanting to look at as well, cannot help myself peering out the window!!

Thanks again for the good comments on the pic's, I was really pleased with the way they came out especially as I was only using my phone!

Grant
