Full LED DRL Headlights And Tail Lights Aftermarket Manufacture Soon
#61
The headlight leveling on the dash I think they were for early model cars in 97. All the newer models are self leveling and manual adjustment. Either way these new headlights will most likely be manual adjustment. The manufacture is going over the project and we should have 3d designs coming soon. Super excited !!!

It is worth noting that If they are not self leveling they will not pass a UK MOT, I have just removed the aftermarket HIDs from XK8 for this reason. I'm not sure about other EU countries.

AFAIK all the UK spec cars with Halogen headlights had this manual headlight leveller. I don't really know why, as the dipped headlights are really not good enough to blind anyone with.

dibbit here's Houston Texas
Looking East at Downtown Houston, Texas
dibbit,
That's pretty neat looking! That's where my DSC Button is...on my 2005 XKR... Plaza Cavana Nerja (Spain) is pretty nice looking also! Beats Houston, Texas by a long shot!

The project is on its way right now. These headlights will be without headlight washers. However I do have a question in the picture attached the arrow is pointing to something that is located under the cover of the hid headlights near the high beam bulb section what is this exactly ?

Gee! It certainly does look like a Wire Cover with several wires running through it! What'a you think? Is this a game of what is it? or What?

It possibly could be the leveling component. However our cars have manual adjusters and the aftermarket headlamps will have manual adjusters as well.

What you guys think about turn signals ? Would you like switchback drls or sequential drls ? Tail Lamps sequential ?

UPDATE:
So the project is still being worked on and in the development stages. Hopefully we should have 3D designs possibly within the next few months and final product sometime within the next 6-9 months. Stay tuned.

I'd be interested. The glass of one of mine has broken, and the other side is starting to get condensation so it's likely will need new lens/reflectors at some point, so rather than spending 350 GBP on each side, just for lens, it'd be interesting to see what you're doing. Grantley Designs have theirs for about 750 GBP for a pair, but as has been said before, they're poly-wotsit plastic lens (vs glass) ...although my 2010 Audi S4 has plastic (as do lots of other cars) so maybe that's a non-issue anyway. For now, it's clear tape to fix up the light until I decide!
