Happy New Years, Oh Crap, never mind
 

Its been a little cold here in Central Illinois. I went out this morning to start my Jag xk8 and came back inside to let it warm up. I became occupied and the car warmed up for 30 minutes.lol. I locked up the house walked out to the car and there is this horrible knocking sound coming from the engine. I now have an engine with 108,000 miles on it that is junk. Somehow it lost oil pressure and spun the #1 rod bearing and the rod is trying to come out of the engine. Weird as this car has had an oil change every 3500miles since new. Guess its time for an LS upgrade,Happy New Years and now its back to driving the Chevy 1ton Crew cab gas guzzler.

Sorry! Did it overheat?

Never overheated. I will be pulling it into my shop on Monday and pull the engine to see what happened. I just put new tensioners and timing chain guides in it about two months ago so I am wondering if some debris from the old guides got in the oil journals. No other reason as to why only one rod would start knocking out of the blue.
