Hydraulic fluid type for roof pump?

Gentlemen:

The fluid level in the reservoir is below the minimum level. Can someone tell me what type of hydraulic fluid should I use to top it up? TIA.

The current standard is Pentosin CHF11S which is green in color. What color is the fluid currently in your system?

I might be captain obvious here. If the reservoir is low there is a reason for the loss of fluid. These systems don't naturally consume/lose fluid. Start looking for a leak somewhere at all the known failure points.

Thanks for the info. Let me check the color and come back to you.

You've got a very good point there, tracing where the fluid had gone. Thanks for reminding me to look for the leaking place(s).
I remember topping it up at least 3 years ago, but forgot what fluid I'd used.

I hope the UNIVIS was already flushed from your system in the past when the TSB (501-33am) was issued to flush and replace that fluid.
The 1997 to 1999 conv used UNIVIS and the 2000MY onward used Pentosin CHF 11S

@motorcarman:
This is the first time I've heard about TSB (501-33am). Do you know what color is UNIVIS? I do not know if the previous owner(s) has flushed the UNIVIS.
The last time I topped it up at least 3 years ago was with Pentosin CHF 11S. The fluid in the reservoir now is green in color like Pentosin, This is the current state.

The roof will raise/lower with about a 20 second delay due to the low fluid level.
BTW, I got myself a new can of fluid and the name is now called FUCHS Titan CHF 11S. If I proceed with the flush, would one Litre of fluid be enough?

UNIVIS is YELLOW.
The (Central Hydraulic Fluid) CHF11S is GREEN

Since the color of my current fluid is GREEN, I presume a previous owner has flushed the system with Pentosin.
I'd simply go ahead with topping it up with CHF 11S.
Wish me the best of luck...
