I just want to say I love you guys and thank you for your knowledge and willingness to share. I got this 2000 XK8 about 8 months ago and have been through every problem listed in this forum and finally got it running ok with flashes of brilliance here and there.
So I didn't have to work on anything today so I thought I'd register and give thanks to all of you that truly understand that this is not an ordinary car and common knowledge really does go out the window when it comes to these babies that being said there is definitely something about them that it's hard to explain.

I have the same car and was in the same situation you are in. This forum was a great help in solving all the issues I had to deal with. It took awhile to sort it all out but once I did the car is pretty reliable. There is always some minor issues to deal with but lets face it, its a 25 year old Jaguar.
By the way I have the same stock lamina wheels on my car that you have. They look pretty good in chrome, May just have to do that.

the guy i bought it from had a 2001 xk with no engine so i got lucky and was able to get the wheels from it. Then i bought the radiator for $80!
