If only the XK looked like this
On the other hand, the radial force on an MC wheel can be large. In a 45 degree bank, it's ~ 1.4 times the weight supported, much like an airplane wing. (Interesting topic, this, but pretty much off-topic here I guess.)
I can't remember much about it, but the forces in a wire wheel can get crazy complicated ... some spokes in a lot of tension, some near zero. Sure are pretty though, to my eye anyway.
Honestly it reminds me of an early 70's Datsun which someone cobbled together the front ends of an E type and a Mercedes onto. It's done very nicely, and it looks classy, but it looks like a nice classy 70's hatchback design tribute, not really what comes to my mind for the Jaguar brand.
Apparently it was a specially commissioned car built on a XK platform. I hadn't noticed the Datsun 260z styling (aka Nissan Fairlady!!)

This is memory lane for me. My 1st new car was a 240Z in just about that color. (Any chance that one is a 240? The minimal bumpers make me think it might be.) Nice wheels: Panasports?
This car had one really bad feature. After about the second year, on a quiet day, you could hear it rusting.
