Default Lamborghini orange (!) XK8 - 1-day sale on UK eBay

I came across this while looking at Gallardos. Be quick, or you'll miss it

It is not as hideous as I would have thought.

Don't think I want to come out every morning and see it in my own driveway but as "look at me colors" go, it might almost be tolerable.

Knowing how much you hate orange indicators and reflectors, you must need to go into therapy after seeing this one.

I don't think it looks too bad. Not as loud as I would have thought. You can't even see the orange indicators or reflectors.

Actually looks pretty good in that color--like it was made for the car!

Actually, I sort of agree, but if you scroll down to the last picture in the ad, such a loud colour just does not work with a traditional wood & cream leather interior.

Wow, that went cheap. And it looked pretty good for being orange.

Now I could really go for this car if it only had one of these emblems on each door! Yes, I'm a proud alumnus of Clemson University---Go Tigers!

Why would someone do this to an otherwise beautiful car? It's hideous (my opinion).

Not as bad as I would have thought before seeing it, despite their having painted over the hood vents.

A thin black pinstripe would help out by breaking up the color a little. Maybe piano black or carbon fiber instead of the wood?

Either way, not the color combo for me.

Totally agree--huge dissonance between the exterior and the interior!

The winning bidder must have come to his senses and not shown up, because it's up on eBay again. This time with a start price of £3500.

There's another car for sale in the same place:
jaguar xk8 convertible,4.0 v8,private plate,black with black leather,bargain | eBay

A car in the back of one of the pictures in this auction looks suspiciously like the Tangerine Dream in your original post... If it is the same car, I wonder what's going on? Not sure I like the way the first came back on immediately at a slightly higher price than was achieved before...

Best wishes, Colin

If you look at his other items you will see the orange car (twice). He is obviously a dealer operating from home. He also has multiple listings of other vehicles.

Here is another example of exquisitely bad taste.

Honestly, I don't hate it. But I do hate the red calipers with it.
But then again, I have questionable taste!! Lol
