Welcome. I didn't notice you were a new member. On some kits the VVT retarding tool, the bar with the round gold piece on it, doesn't fit into the VVT. I had to file the outside of mine so it will fit. Good luck and if you have any questions or problems please post before you make a mistake. I don't know your experience with these cars but I found out they are nothing like the classic Fords and Chevys.

Afterthought- I my opinion it's a lot easier if you also have a crank pulley lock and removal kit. They are over $100. I can loan you mine. Cover shipping and $100 deposit to make sure I get it back.

If so it sounds like a bargain at that price...just calculated the price for a complete set from Welsh...US 600!...but that also includes the chain wedge:-)

Search the form, no direct experance but I believe you will find instructions for a zip tie method.

The kit at the link also has the wedged. They are the angle metal piece in the center with a ring on the end

He said he was changing chains and tensioners so the zip tie method won't work. As I understand the zip tie method you zip tie the chain to the exhaust sprocket so it won't work if replacing chain.
