Loud whine

loud whine on 2007 xkr mainly when it's cold. I'm thinking it's an idler pully

Its probably from your engine whining that you have put the post in the wrong forum. If its a 2007 car wouldn't it be a X150?

So looks like I'm in 2000 to 2006 area?
Funny Senior member! You made me go look. On the trunk area, i have on drivers side an XK and passenger side I have a Big R. or XKR. Super charged 4.2L 2007 Jaguar. Also i had to Google X150.

It's all a learning experience. Thanks for wanting to reply. Cheers mate.

Yes, you're in with the elite ;)

It's basically the same motor - easiest check for the pulleys is to remove the belts and spin them by hand:- they can make all manner of noises when the bearings start to fail.
Possibly the supercharger bearings?

You can try re-posting in the X150 forum, or one of our tireless mods may move the post over for you,

Good luck.

:) Was not trying to be funny. The X100 was made up till 2006 anything after that is the X150. Just thought you would get more appropriate help in the section where your model resides.

The X100 looks like this.
