Lukus Oil Treatment additive????
Is it worth using in any car much less my 97 XK8 I run Mobil One Syn oil in? Dude at the chain parts store said it will add more coating to parts for cold starts then any oil?
He says for a oil burning car is will go a long way to help stop the oil burning barring you don't have a MAJOR issue that only a repair can fix but said for work valve seats and rings it can help build a barrier to slow down the burning? My Jag does not burn but my other car, 96 Tbird with the 4.6 motor burns oil, hell most 4.6 FERD motor does once they get 90k or so on them.

Despite the vast array of oil additives on parts stores shelves you probably will not find anyone in the automotive manufacturing industry that will recommend them. If anyone really developed a magic additive it would, most likely, get absorbed into the major oil industry's products.
I converted to synthetic oil many years ago and compensated by extending the change interval. My personal research and oil testing labs reports would appear to support that approach.
The last time I used an oil additive was 'Motor Honey' in a '56 Chevy to quite the valve lifters.
Everyone has a personal opinion on oil.

Like Tom I used it in my 55 Ford but I used STP. I did however use BG MOA in my 90 4Runner up until I sold it. I personally see no need to add it to synthetic oil but that is a personal choice and I guess it is all in what you want. Use this link for info on synthetic oils http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oil_add...s_of_Additives and this for oil info http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/
I hope this helps!
