My new toy next to my XKR
Haven't been very active on here of late and the red Mini Cooper below is the main reason why :) Another UK import (I like RHD and there's a lot more choice online). Picked it up last week from Derby.
Fun to drive, but the XKR is in a different league power-wise ;) Mini to be used for the school run. http://www.garagetech.fr/mini/jag_mini.jpg |
Surprised you didn't opt for the S model so you could have a roots type whine off with the XKR. ;)
I had one right before the Jag (Cooper S) and it was boatloads of fun. Enjoy. |
Well done, Frog. They look good together.

Awesome photograph! The Mini is sweet but
the XKR is the stuff of which dreams are made Attachment 163119 |
They make a nice pair!
I guess the Jag is behaving? |
Jag and Mini
Amazing, to log in and see my garage, with different colors. I too purchased a Mini Cooper to go along with my Jag. Well actually the Mini for my wife, couldn't very well deny her her dream toy, when I had mine, it's what she wanted.
I did purchase an S model '06 which has the supercharged 1.6L. Not a bad little daily driver, pretty quick and corners like stink. Funniest thing price was not that far apart. |
Excellent combination.
The French re-registration should be a breeze with all the practice you've had! Graham |

Thanks for all your positive comments, guys :)
I did consider the Cooper S, but with insurance and fuel costs being considerably higher I decided to be reasonable and go with the standard Cooper. As I said, handling is fun, but not on a parr with the MX5/Miata I used to have and as for power the Jag blows it into the weeds (obviously :)) |
I am against two door cars for school runs or having kids in the back at all. If there is an emergency situation you never get the kids out.
Always go for a 4 door with children. |
looks fun :)
