Need to put XKR on axle stands for a week. Advice, please.

I have arranged to have my 4 wheels refurbished, but it involves my removing them from the car and dropping them off at the bodyshop in my van.

For various reasons I won't go into now, the whole process will leave me without the wheels for at least a week and I will have to leave the car on 4 axle stands in the garage.

Where do you suggest I place the stands? I have watched Rev's video on jacking the car up, but I'm wondering if anyone has any specific advice for a week-long lift.

I've had mine up on stands for a couple of months while being repainted with no ill effect. The JTIS shows to set them on the Jacking points on the rockers sills, behind the front wheel well and in front of the back wheel well. I actually made wood blocks out of 2" x 4" and cut a groove, and covered those with shop rags. as to not scratch the painted surface.

That's reassuring. Wooden blocks and cloth is a good idea. thanks :)

When I bought my XKR, last year, the wheels were pretty badly scarred, and I also took them to have them refinished to a local speed shop that sent them out to be done. I got temporary wheels from them while they were being redone. You might check with your refinisher and see if he has any wheels you could borrow.

Nice idea, but Jags are pretty rare over here in France, so I wouldn't imagine they would have any. I will ask, though.
