Next Project - Seat Belt Locking Retractor
I am tackling the driver's side seat belt retractor not retracting. UGH. Downloaded the parts diagram. I saw H20Boy'spicture of the seatbelt. So I really have to remove the entire back seat? double UGH. This is turning into a much larger project.
Thanks :icon_hyper: |
the rear seat is only attached with two bolts under the front (footwell area) The side panels have more screws/bolts...but its very easy, nothing to worry about.
I assume convertible... 1. upper trim panel on the side (my dog likes to rest his head on this when we drive) the snap fastener for the convertible boot cover screw uses a small spanner wrench to loosen, and remove 2. remove the other screw nearby 3. upper trim panel lifts off 4. remove the cover off of the seatbelt guide bolt (just snaps on/off) 5. use a Torx bit to remove the very large seatbelt guide bolt 6. remove the 'hidden' recessed screw on the panel 7. side panel should now be able to be negotiated out from the door sill trim and give you access to your seatbelt rectractor Also easier to remove the side panel if the lower seat cushion has been taken out already. :) I did that by memory, and its been awhile, I hope I didn't forget something! If I did, someone please jump in. |
Driver's side seat belt problem is now fixed. Simple repair. Thanks for the input from h20boy...
