Default TORQUE scan P1111 meaning?

What does this mean and how can i get rid of the code?
P1111 translates to 'System ready' meaning that adequate drive cycles had occurred and there are not other codes stored. Is this just normal?
I have no CEL on. Why a fault code if all is AOK?? I did read this:
If DTC P1111 is logged in memory, all on-board diagnostic tests have been completed. MEANING ALL NORMAL.....correct??
I have the c.a. $50 bluetooth OBD connector that people rcommend on this forum with torque. If I leave the bluetooth adater plugged in the OBD socket does it drain my battery??????

P1111 indicates that all tests have completed ok. The reason it is there is because the car has to be driven for a while before all tests are complete after a DTC reset or battery reconnection.

In some states, when they do an emission test they won't pass the vehicle if the tests have not completed (some folks in the past would clear the code, and drive straight to the test station to get a 'pass' before the fault re-occurred) - this stops them doing that. This code tells them that all tests have completed, with no problems.

You'll always have either P1000 or P1111. If you have P1111 then you should be happy. It's a good thing.

The power to flash the little lights on it comes from somewhere....guess that'd be the battery if it's sitting. Having said that...I leave mine in unless I'm scanning an S-type with it or using it as kill-switch in the Excursion....and no battery problems...but my X300 is a daily driver and never sits unmolested more than 2-days (odd weekend once in awhile) so you may get a different result if you only drive it once/mo or so...but if sitting for extended periods you should probably be on a battery-minder anyway....

P1111 may be different for newer cars.
I read elsewhere it is an air temp issue.
That makes sense to me as it happened today on my 2004 XJ8 and it's 20 degrees out.
I still don't know what to do about it.

No, not on a 2004 XJ8. I just looked it up and its meaning is the same. P1111 means all tests passed...it is not an indication of a problem.

According to this web site, there are Jaguar specific codes:

"P1111 Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit Intermittent High Voltage"

Jaguar Check Engine Light DTC Trouble Codes

What am I missing?

Tom
I wouldn't use that list. White's right, here's the OBD codes from the JTIS for 2004 Jaguar XJ8 The list they have isn't dated so it may be for older models. You can download the JTIS off of the forum. Sounds like your cars fine.

I have and use the Torque system on my Droid and it is a great tool but the definition of the code is not accurate and can often mislead you. The best thing to do is read the code, document it and look the code up on a chart produced by the manufacturer of the car. Anything less could mislead you and cost you money and a great deal of agervation.

Thanks guys.
I failed to mention that I have a "Restricted Performance" messege. (sorry)
That is what drove me to scan for the code.
I had the oil changed the day before the fault occured.
Maybe the Firestone guys did something under the hood that is causing an air leak?
The scan also returned a "Lean" code on the left bank.

Check your air filter box and the tube going to the throttle body first. If it is not sealed / closed up properly you will have a leak. What were the codes?

As suggested by Gus, and from another forum, I checked under the hood for any potential air leaks. Everything looked tight. One suggestion I read was to ensure that all the engine filler caps and the dipstick were locked & seated, because of pressure sensors in the crankcase (or something like that).

Lo and behold, the dipstick was missing!

I returned to Firestone and told them the story.
They popped the hood and found the dipstick lying across the front cowl.
(I feel a little silly that I didn’t see it myself.)
They cleared the codes, gave me a free oil change coupon and everything is fine.

To summarize:
After an oil change I got a “Restricted Performance” fault message.
The car ran poorly, sputtered upon acceleration, and ran more loudly than normal.

AutoZone scanned my car for free, which returned the following DTC Codes:
P1111 – Manufacturer specific code “System Pass”
P0171 - System too Lean (Bank 1)
P0174 - System too Lean (Bank 2)

I was extremely concerned that this was going to be an expensive problem, so,
I searched here and elsewhere for the codes.
(I should have explained the issue with details from the beginning, not just asked about the codes)

I eventually plugged in my cheap eBay Bluetooth OBD-II adapter and used TORQUE for Android to capture the DTC codes and look up the meanings.
https://market.android.com/details?id=org.prowl.torque&hl=en

All technical sources returned:
P1111 - Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit Intermittent High Voltage"

Jaguar sourced material states:
“System Pass” (not a fault code, it means the system testing is complete)

Solution steps for “Restricted Performance”
- check for air leaks
- ensure all engine filler caps are properly secured
- ensure the dipstick is seated properly

If symptoms persist:
- ask more questions (supply details)

Last resort
- see your dealer

I hope this helps anyone else with this issue.
I’m certain that the fault code could easily be more complicated than this and I’m relieved that this turned out to be a no-cost resolution.

Thanks again Jaguar Forum for all the rapid responses and helpful suggestions.

here in Ca. the smog shops look to see if all the monitors have passed or not (I think you can have one still pending) before they will test the car. this prevents you from just turning off the light and getting the test. many times I have gotten a call from a smog tech saying there is a P1111 and he dosen't know what it means, so I explain that it means all the monitors have passed and that he shouldn't fail the car. I guess it's just Jaguars way of making things overly complicated and confusing people.
