Nothing to complain about.

Nothing to complain about.
Finally in Canada it is once again Jagaur XK8 convertible weather. At the risk of annoying the gods I am saying that I am enjoying driving my 2004 XK8 everyday. Had to as my 2008 S type was down for a week waiting for a brake servo check valve.
This past weekend a fellow hollered out the window at me while stopped; is that a 2017, haven't seen one of them before. After 3 years of ownership my wife has now gotten used to strangers stopping to ask about the car and I still can't stop and turn around for a second look when I turn off the garage lights at night. I am sure it is an age thing as XKE's came out just about the time I was buying my first family car; but there is not another car I would rather own. I had driven this car on 3 over 3000 mile trips and every mile was a pleasure. Yes my wife has a Hyundi Elantra and you would probably think it the first choice for a long trip. Last year on our trip to Myrtle Beach from Canada I asked, if you want to take your car it's okay, I have done the mountain in the Jag. To my great delight she said "let's take the Jag". I have a 14 year old car with 127,000 miles on it and I am apologizing for a bit of scuff marks on the drivers side bolster.

Now just wait one minute here fella...don't you know this forum is about bitchin and complaining and asking for help!
I'm here with ya, my 03 XK8 while it's had a few issues I can't complain and it's a joy to drive. Sometimes it stays parked for a few weeks and I start thinking, which is always dangerous, that I might sell it and get something different. Then I take it out for an open top night ride to dinner and there is no way in hell I would part with this car. Bang for the buck and smiles for the miles this is hands down the best car I've had.
