Rear Sway Bar Insulators

I am ready to replace the rear Sway Bar Insulators on my XK8 and I would like to know if the rubber cushion should be on the top or the bottom of the sway bar mount. Here is a picture.

They go on just like you show them, but if in doubt, have a look at this add for the system.

My question is does the rubber stack go on the upper side or the lower?

that looks like an aftermarket bushing type. You need to feed the bushing through the mount hole on lower suspension arm so that it engages the central slot in rubber. Then feed link through.

The rubbers go one on each side of the lower hole, the right angle end goes into the sway bar with the nut on the inside of the bar.

I could not get mine to fit so I sawed them in half. Half on top, half on the bottom. Worked fine for 3 years now.

Yeah, as cjd777 states, it's top and bottom.
You can upgrade with powerflex bushes and they are also top and bottom.

Kent, check this out. The Energy bushings last far longer than the polyflex.

10,000 miles and 2 years later, I can confirm that they are still going strong.

You will have to trim them down a bit.

We'll see. Not sure of the condition of mine but for that price I'll keep them on hand at the very least. They have shipped already and will be here tomorrow. Summit is just over 100 miles from me. :) Again that's for the info. BTW, the upper bushings of my daily driver were shown at the bottom of the listing online. Karma? Fate? Not very much so I bought them too. TM
