Default Removing the Harmonic Balancer, not the same questions:-)

Hi,Removing the Harmonic Balancer, not the same questions:-)-image.jpg

I have searched the other posts, and could not find the maser to my question. Removing the Harmonic Balancer on my way to the cam tensioners. No problem getting the 24mm nut off. Old trick, stick a bike inter tube do in to the cylinder, when you turn the crank, piston comes up bit gets stopped ny the tube. Since it's rubber, no damage. Anyways, went to throw the puller on and I do not see the threaded holes. This is a double pulley, thought I had to remove ken to get to the puller, but doesn't seem so.

Lots of holes, but all are untapped? See pic.

The 2 holes are M8X1.25mm. I use a standard puller but I put a plate of thin sheet metal backed by a piece of corrugated cardboard against the radiator in case one of the bolts snap.

Do not run the bolts in too far and bottom out on the front timing cover. It will crack if the bolt pushes next to the seal.

Spray and clean the threads before attaching the puller.

Pull the damper out about 1 or 2 mm then SMACK the damper to break the split cone loose.

Well, do I cut this off? I would have to take the rad off to extract. Take a sledge would certainly make me feel better.Removing the Harmonic Balancer, not the same questions:-)-image.jpg
