Replacing drive belt tensioner and pulley
Hi everyone
Does anyone know where i can find a guid with pics or video on how to change the drive belt and tensioner?
I am looking to do the job myself, is this an easy job? and is there anything i should look out for?
thanks

I have not done the tensioner on the drive belt but have done the pulley. Its should be a matter of removing the center bolt and the whole assembly should come off. I would think there would be a specific locating tang so it goes back in the correct position. Since there are no other parts associated with the pulley you could go in blind. A way to check this idea is to get the new part and look it over, it should be evident what kind of diffuculty you would be getting into.
Use a 15mm socket on a breaker bar on the idler pulley, top pulley in photo. Then turn it to your left, car's right. This will take the tension off the belt so it can be removed. Remove the tensioner with 13mm socket, under idler pulley in photo, and remove bolt and tensioner will come off. Reverse procedure for reassembly.

Also remember to make a diagram/ take a photo of the belt where it runs etc.
You may think its obvious when its on but once its off its head scratching time ........... now did it go over or under that pulley?
Good point about the reverse thread.
I changed both of mine when I first got the car. No special tools just my tool kit and a lot of grunting.
