Screen wash bottle removal.

Just wondering if anyone has removed their washer bottle ,and what's involved in removing it. I need to do some welding in that area so i need to remove the bottle. Many thanks. Anthony.

You have to rotate the filler neck towards the front of the car to "unscrew" it and remove it. Then remove the front wheel and fender liner. It will be self-explanatory at that point. Disconnect wires and hoses, unbolt reservoir.

When you remove the front wheel and wheel liner, you will find that there are a couple of bolts which are round the front of the the reservoir and are very difficult to access. However, you can easily get at these from directly below if you use a socket set with a few extensions to give you a reach of a couple of feet. I can't remember if you need to remove the front plastic valance which goes right under the front of the car but that is easy enough.

The large rubber grommet which seals the filler tube into the side of the reservoir will almost certainly start to leak when you put it all back together as the rubber will have hardened with age so you might wish to purchase a new grommet before you start.
