I'm curious. The shocks are going to be the next thing I have done and I'm wondering whether to go with OEM, Bilstein, Koni or other? If you've already done this, I'd appreciate your opinion.

 

I did some research last year, and Bilstein came up as the best for my application on '97 vert. On my car they are the same PN as OEM fitment.

There are not too many to choose from. If you have the computer controlled CAT shocks, then I think you don't even have a choice but to use the OEM shocks. But you dont have to buy them through a dealer.

 

I do not have any supporting information but from everyone I have spoken with lean towards Bilstein. They (Bilstein) are quality and you will benefit by not having to do it again and the cost is then justified.

 

I replaced the shocks on my Rolls Royce with Bilsteins and they are performing very well. I had to have a left rear shock replaced on my XKR, but I do not know what brand my mechanic used.

 

I used Koni adjustables on my Cooper S (Mini-mania Stage II kit, off road exhaust, adjustable sway bar, strut bar, Eagle GSD3 tires, lightweight wheels, Greenstuff pads and vented rotors, hotwires, iridium plugs, reprogrammed ECU - 230 hp.). They really made a huge difference so I'd probably use them again on my Jag.
