What's it doing, what's wrong? How many miles on the car?
Mine was just worn out. It was in the first group listed and had the reprogram done years ago. I replaced it with a NOS one I found on Ebay for about 15% of what one costs from Jag.

My old one had the APP (accelerator pedal position) wear out after 140k miles. Managed to fix it for a while until it completely wore out. I put the new TB on at 150k.

Any TB from an AJ26 will work, XK8 or XJ, not sure about super charged versions. There were revisions (aka improvements) over the life span of the AJ26 production. My new part number was from '98.

I think it reasonable to replace at 126k and 14 years old...its a known issue, and I get hesitation and engine faults in hot weather..it has a new MAFS and intake plumbing, and I have been fixing little stuff for 6 years.
I dont really want to wait until it cost 2k, and like the idea of a new one...
