Default Valve cover gasket removal.

As you can see from my recent flurry of posts I'm going to have fun this weekend under the hood. While I'm installing my new coil packs I was going to pull my valve cover to see if I have the metal tensioners on the reman engine that was installed in this car after the reformulated gas ate the nickasil. Is there a sequence for the valve cover as far as tighting the bolts, and what is the correct torgue setting.

There is a sequence and it is very important. You start with the inside bolts by the plugs and start working in a circular motion with ending with the bolts at the very ends. I believe the torque setting is only 9 N/m

Don't forget the O-ring seals for each spark plug!

Well last weekend was a bust. I began last night. Removed all of the coil packs. Got ready to blow out the spark plug area but thought I should shine a light down there for some reason. Its a good thing I did. The front spark plug on the right bank was covered in oil. And wouldn't you knowit I bought the valve cover gaskets for the left side. There went the night. Picked up the new gasket set this morning and will get to that tonight. I bought the NGK Iridium plugs. Can I use the preset gap .052 on this plug. The owners manual on my car calls for .050.
