Well, I made it worse.....
 

I recently bought a 2002 XK8 from an out of state dealer. Big mistake! But that is another story. Among the many, many problems, the "check engine light" is on. I ran a scan and came up with a P1647 code. This seems to indicate the HO2 sensor on bank #2. However, on inspection I found that the heater circuit on the HO2 sensor on bank #1 was open. Bank#2 seemed to be OK. So, after much struggle I replaced the sensor on bank#1 with a replacement I got from Amazon. Well, that changed things alright. The p1647 code is gone. Now I have p0031,p0037,p0051,p0057 and p0332. And as an added bonus the car is now in "restricted performance" mode. That is new, didn't do that before with the bad sensor.
I notice all the codes except the last one refer's to the heater control circuit for both banks. My hope is that it is a fuse or relay, something easy.

As and aside, I had to make a special tool to get the darn thing loose. I had to cut up a 7/8" socket and weld myself up a custom wrench with a long handle to break it loose. When do we start having fun??:(

Funny mix of codes. Don't see how you can have heater open and short circuit at the same time !
Also, all of a sudden, there's a knock sensor code.
What state is your battery in ? Sometimes a low battery voltage can throw weird codes.
I'd test it and also do a hard reset

Thank you Steve, I really appreciate your advice. My battery is new and I keep it on a floating type charger, at least while I am trying to track down these problems. I have reset the "mil light" with my scanner. What exactly is a hard reset? Does this mean disconnecting the battery? I didn't mention in my original post that I also got a "transmission fail" and of course the ever present"top not latched" message. It is as though the ECU is going through it's list of codes, somewhat at random. Oh yeah, also a check rear lights message. Maybe it is possessed!

It does sound like the ECM is drinking meths again.

Do put a voltmeter across your battery as well, JIC it has developed a dead cell or some such.
The more codes you get, in general, the more spurious they are.

Check for fuses for the heaters, i never use(anymore) after market non oem o2 sensors. Too many issues with non oem. Maybe its miswired abd blew the circuits for the heaters, and your rf is for non reading o2 just throwing otu there. Im not looking up wiring and codes only info you posted

Today I found a blown 10 amp fuse in the fuse box on the passenger side. After I replaced it the p0032 and p0037 codes went away. I still have the p0057 though. If it is not raining tomorrow I intend to take it for a short ride and let it warm up. Then I will scan it again.
Is there anywhere that I can get a picture (s) showing which fuses do what in the five different locations? Were they originally there when the car was new? It would be an immense help while trying to trace down these issues.

Thank you both for the information on the fuse locations, this will help immensely. The first thing I noticed is that the HO2 heater circuit calls for a 30 amp fuse. I replaced the blown one with a ten amp because that was what was in there. Although it didn't "pop", I will replace it with the proper size at once.
